We are now open the applicationfor the doctoral programson Geoinformatics and Remote Sensing. The GeoinformaticsandRemoteSensing research team focuses on five following research directions:

1)      Multiple-sensorintegrationandinnovativesurveying technologies: Precise monitoringand analysisof tracks,DataacquisitionandmodelingbasedonUAVsystem,Pavement anomalies detectionand parameter measurements;

2)      Geo-environmentalmonitoringofcoastalzone: Coastlineseamlesssurveying technology,Coastalgeo-environmentaldynamicmonitoringandanalysis,Datamanagementandanalysisofcoastalgeo-environment,Intelligentdecisionsupportandserviceofcoastalenvironmentmanagement;

3)      Integrated indoor/outdoor positioning and navigation: Seamless indoor/outdoor positioning, Multiple-sensor (IMU/laser/camera) integrated indoor mapping and 3D modeling, intelligent pedestrian navigation, Indoor scene understanding, moving target management and logistical optimization.

4)      UrbanRemoteSensing: Urban disaster monitoring, High-resolution satellite image processing, Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar, Ground deformation and structural health monitoring technologies.

5)      Urban informatics and smart city: Spatial-temporal big data analytics, 3D cadaster, Spatial data infrastructure, Urban built environment modeling and augmented reality and Geo-visualization, Planning support system, Smart urban governance and management.

 

Type and Duration

Full-time, 3 to 5 years.

 

General Entry Requirements

Good English or Mandarin language level is required. 

No criminal record.

2.       Copies of previously certifications from bachelor and master degrees, relatedtranscriptions are also needed;

3.       General standard English or Mandarin language certifications that shows you are capable to use either English or Mandarin as your study language (listening, writing, speaking and reading skills);

4.       Two recommendationletters.(One of recommendation letter from your previous college tutor.)

5.       A copy of personal valid passport.

6.       Personal Statement in Chinese or English of about 1,500 words, includingyour research directions, previous study and working experience and academic research achievement, etc.

7.       An ID photo (passport photo standard).

 

Tuitions, Fellowships and Grants

1)      Tuition fee:

40,000 RMB/per year

2)      Scholarships and Grants

A. Government scholarships and university grants: 40,000 RMB/per year

B. Research allowances from supervisors: 1500 RMB/per month for year 1, 3000RMB/per month for year2 and 4000 RMB/per month for year 3 for each student;

3)      Insurance

4)      Accommodation

International Student Dormitory: Single-bed room 8000 RMB/semester, double-bed room 5000 RMB/semester each bed.

Student Dormitories: 800-1500 RMB/ semester accordingly.

5)      Food

Approximately 700-1200 RMB/month in campus.
